Flatzer Demo extension Privacy Policy

1. What this extension is

The "Flatzer Demo" Chrome extension is published by Flatzer. If you are a business interested in Flatzer (a lead) and have a demo code (format FLZ-XXXXXX), this extension lets you activate a live demonstration of the Flatzer sales agent on your own website, without installing anything permanent on your site. This policy is specific to the extension and complements Flatzer's general Privacy Policy.

2. What the extension does

When you enter a valid demo code in the extension's popup, it injects the Flatzer sales agent widget directly into the tab of your own website you are visiting. The widget only appears in that tab and only while the demo is active.

3. Data the extension processes

The extension processes the following categories of data:

• Demo code: the FLZ- code you enter to activate the demo, used to identify which prospect it belongs to.
• Site origin: the domain of the page where you activate the demo, used to associate the conversation with the right site.
• Conversation messages: the messages exchanged with the agent during the demo, stored by Flatzer as a demo conversation.

4. Usage events sent to PostHog

Even without checking the recording box, the extension and the widget send PostHog technical events: that the widget loaded and, if they occur, technical errors. These events are linked server-side to the demo code and to you as the lead, so they are pseudonymous data about you, not anonymous, even though they never include message text, the page URL, or any identifier stored on your device.

Flatzer also records on its server, likewise linked to the demo code and to you as the lead, that the code was redeemed, that the first conversation happened, and a summary of each conversation (turn count, duration and outcome), without message content.

If you check the recording box, usage events are added — for example, that the chat was opened, that a message was sent, or that a call-to-action was clicked — plus the session recording described below. All of this is linked to the demo code via a hashed visitor reference and the PostHog session id.

5. Session recording (optional)

The extension's popup includes a separate consent checkbox, unchecked by default, for session recording. If you check it, recording starts as soon as you open the demo chat and continues while you browse the page — it does not stop just by closing the widget — until you leave the page or turn the checkbox off. It records the page's structure and text, and your interactions (clicks, scrolling and navigation).

When active, the recording is processed by PostHog (European Union) as a processor. Chat message text, the demo's message box and attachments, and the page's form fields are automatically masked and never recorded.

You can complete the demo without checking this box; the agent works the same either way.

6. Data retention

The demo conversation's messages are kept for 90 days from the last message, after which they are automatically and permanently deleted along with the conversation.

The demo code and the domain authorized to use it are not removed by that same process: they are kept for as long as the code exists, and are only deleted if it is deactivated or you request its removal.

The retention period for session recordings is determined by Flatzer's PostHog plan; see PostHog's privacy policy for the current detail.

7. How to revoke your consent

You can turn off session recording at any time from the toggle in the extension's popup, even during an active demo. Uninstalling the extension stops any future processing immediately.

8. We do not sell your data

Flatzer does not sell or transfer the data processed by this extension to third parties for purposes other than those described in this policy.

9. Chrome Web Store policy compliance

Flatzer's use and transfer of information received through Chrome APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
